Peter Shippee came to Colrain,MA late in his life from Charlemont,MA, after selling his farm there on the Mohawk River. He had previously lived in Buckland,MA, having come there from Glocester,RI in 1778. He, his second
wife, and her mother ended their days in a cabin next to the farm of his son Amasa. He died prior to 1812.
