http://sprinkle-family.tripod.com/ 3 sons Peter, Michael, and George settled in York (Chester) name changed from Sprenkel to Sprinkle Michale bc 1732 in PA died 1789 in Spatanburg District in South Carolina Michael married Martha Patsy (Robinson) about 1765 and moved to Rowan Co. North Carolina and he was a large land owner. They had five children: Moses, Robert, William Michael "Billy", Amelia "Milly", and Anna.

Billy was born Feb. 27, 1783 in Rowan and died June 15, 1872 in Gabriel's Creek, Madison County, NC. William married Isabella Palmer the daughter of Edmond Palmer and Mary Brittan Palmer. She was born June 12, 1788 in VA and died DEc. 20, 1864 in Gabriel's Creek NC. William Sprinkle was a farmer and Christian lay preacher. Worship services were held in William and Isabella's home. The children were raised and educated Baptist. William wanted to provide a location for the community to worship and bury their families so he deeded land and Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church and the burial grounds in 1837.

Isabella's father Edmund Palmer was a veteran of the Revolutionary War, he was a surveyor and pioneer settler on the Big Ivy River about 1790. He brought many families from Rowan County to settle in the beautiful mountains of Old Buncombe County which is now known as Madison County. Palmer Ford settlement was named in his honor.

Edmond's son Lewis Palmer was an Old Buncombe County magistrate, NC Legislator, and founding trustee of Mars Hill Baptist College. Lewis is credited with naming the institution. The NC General Assembly met February 16, 1859 and the charter was approved. Lewis chose the name based on Bible passages Acts 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars Hill William and Isabella had 13 children: Lovey(married Rev. Stephen Ammons); John (married Eveline, nee unknown); Edmund (married Elizabeth nee unknown); Martha Patsy (m.Tatom Buckner); Elizabeth "Betsy" married James Wilson Gillespie; Emily m. John E. Radford; Stephen m.Elizabeth Ann Williams and then Nancy Fisher Reaves; George Baird Sprinkle m.Sarah Smith and then Delilah Foster; Rev. William Michael Sprinkle Jr. m. Elizabeth Fisher; David m. Mary Jane Foster; Isabella m. Garrett Peek; Thursa m. Lewis Anders; Michael James m.Delilah Jane Harwood

note; There is not any document that shows that Johnann Heinrich Sprinkle and Charit Speis are the immigrant parents of Peter.

It is believed that Peter Sprinkle immigrated from Germany around 1740. Sprinkle deeds and miscellaneous records were found at an archive in Danbury (Stokes County), NC.

Records only mention one son, George. No information about his wife has been found.
