Family story says Peter and Mary Peregrin were never married and she died in childbirth of their only son, William. William was taken by her family until Peter paid them $200.00 to get him back.

Peter White served as a Confederate soldier in the Civil War. Application of Soldier, Sailor or Marine for a Pension was made on July 16, 1900 at the age of 76 years old. Pension application shows Peter as a member of Company G, 10th Ky Cav. under Captain Patty and Col. May.
