They were married July 17, 1856, in Kasjanerschool. (It appears that 6 children were born from this union, one being Elisabeth Wohlgemuth who married Jacob Klassen, mother of Agnes Klassen, who married Friesen, then John C. Unruh. Peter Wohlgemuth died in 12/06/1873. His second wife, ElizPeter Wohlgemuth died in 12/06/1873. His second wife, Elizabeth Balzer, and some of the younger children emigrated to the United States in the summer of 1874. They took the steamship City of Brooklyn, from England.She later married Rev John Flaming
