-During early moths of WWII he served as an officer in the Navy Censorship Command at Miami, FL.

-Able to speak Greek, Russian, Spanish, German and English. Graduate of Emory and Princeton.

-Served for several years at the U.S. Embassy in Athens Greece before joining the Greek Line in 1955.
