About Petter Holmberg

Born in Vastervik, Sweden, a small town in the county of Smaland on the east coast of Sweden. He settled in Djupvik on the island of Tjorn (about 20km northeast of Marstrand). He was a bookkeeper in the herring factory. He was appointed baileff on Tjorn 1816-1820 because of his ability to read and write. He then moved to Goteborg and was baileff in Galgakrokarna in Savedals Harad.
