Philip Eastman, son of Phillip Eastman (1644-abt.1714) and Mary (Barnard) Eastman (1645-1712) was born 18 Aug 1684 at Haverhill, Massachusetts [1] and he died in 1741 at Ashford, Connecticut. [2]

) Eastman Genealogy; page 26: Philip Eastman (23.); son of Philip, born in Haverhill, Mass., Aug. 18, 1684 ; married Oct. 20, 1715, Mary East- man, born March 29, 1690, daughter of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Hudson) Eastman (see No. 3, vi). Mr. Eastman went to Ashford, Conn., when a young man; returned to Salisbury and married and returned to Ashford, where he lived and died. He was agent for Ashford in presenting a petition to the Connecticut Assembly, praying for exemption of the town taxes on account of the drouth. He was a lieutenant of a trained band in Ashford in 1733; justice of the peace in and for Windham county in 1733-5. He was chosen to lay out highways in 1715, and was admitted a proprietor the same year, and in 1732 was chosen to represent Ashford in the Connecticut Assembly, and so continued for several years.
