About Philip Hager

Johannes Philip Hager was born January 18, 1730 in Hesse-Cassel, Germany. He emigrated as a child with his parents to America, arriving in Pennsylvania c.1732, and then settling in New Jersey. He adopted the English name Phillip. He married Sarah (unk) before 1760 and raised a large family. At some point the family moved to first Augusta County ant then to Tazewell Conty, Virginia. He died in Tazewell County in 1807.
