The Fundationis et Fundatorum Historia of Ford Abbey names “Hugonem secundum…ac Philippum postea dominum de Mourton prope Dartmore” as sons of “Hugonem de Courtnay primum” & his wife, adding that Philip was killed “VIII Kal Jul 1314 in bello Scotiæ apud Striveling”[464].
