"Phinehas Eddy, bapt. Sept. 23, 1593 at Cranbrook, England. He was named executor by his father in his will, dated 1616. Phinehas in his will dated Dec. 16, 1639 and proved June 7, 1641, calls himself a resident of Portsmouth and mentions his late wife, Katherine and present wife Christian Eddy; also his daughters Anne, Margaret and Susanna and his deceased daughter Abigail. Ab unbaptized child of Phinehas Eddy was buried at Cranbrook July 26, 1618."

Phineas Eddy, bapt. Sept. 1593 at Cranbrook, Eng. (Church Register); m. 1 Katherine Courthoff, daughter of Peter and Anne (Sheafe) Courthopp. She d. before 1639. He m. (2) Christian _____,who survived him. (see his will). His children were Peter, Anne, Margaret, Susanna, and Abigail. Peter died at Cranbrook Nov. 8, 1619 and Abigail between Dec. 18, 1639 and June 7, 1641. Phineas died before June 7, 1641, when his will was proved at Portsmouth.
