After going to the assistance of his father, Petrus Grobbelaar (84), who was being attacked by five perpetrators.   • The five men, aged between 18 and 26, were arrested, after Inspector Janine Craucamp said police acted on information received that they were in Soweto. A stolen 9mm Norinco Pistol was recovered and would be sent for ballistic testing. The men were being held in the Benoni police cells and were expected to appear in court, Craucamp said.
