Progenitor / Stamvader Jacob NAUDÉ, the 6th. of 7 children of Philipp Naudé and Anne Isnard, of French Huguenot descent, was born in Berlin, Germany on 20 August 1696. He left the Netherlands as a naval cadet (adelborst) on board the fluyt 'Abbekerk' from Texel on 23 January 1718 arriving at the Cape of Good Hope on 19 May 1718.
