1850 census records in Russell Co., Va. gave him as a farmer from TN. Neighbor was William Bartley & Millie James. Some of his descendants are buried at Ashcamp & Marrowbone.

I'm trying to see if or how they are kin.

s/o Isaac Bartley & Tabitha Boab Died before the date above Married Nancy Leslie abt. 1835 The family believes he and his wife are buried at the Childers Cemetery at Ashcamp, Pike Co. Ky. where some of their children were. There is a certain section where quite a few of the Bartleys are.

I believe he married for a 2nd time to a Sarah Mullins after Nancy passed. 

It has been said that he owned a gristmill at the mouth of Mill Branch at Ashcamp. Which is how that place got its name.

This cemetery where I have him at is about a minute or two away from Mill Branch. I truly wonder if it started out as Bartley cause there is a section there with them, some are rocks. Then later grew with other familes buried there. Names of cemeteries change through the years.

I am trying to find Pleasent's son James & daughter Mary from first marriage. I believe James married a Fannie Swiney, not sure, some call her Annie. It's kind of confusing.
