Phil N. Golightly, age 87, passed away on October 24, 2012 in Collierville. Born April 2, 1925 in McCurtain, Oklahoma, he was one of 14 children of Dock Harris Golightly and Bessie Myrtle Bohannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 12 of his siblings,including his brother Henry B. Golightly, his wife, Estel Frances Roper Golightly, and a daughter, Carol Elaine Golightly.
Phil was married to Frances Roper on April 23, 1943 in Preston, Idaho. They made their home in California for 55 years until moving to Granbury, Texas in 1998. They moved to Tennessee in 2010.
He is survived by his brother, Charles of Pismo Beach, California; his sister, Beth of Simi Valley, California; and his son, Gary, who resides in Collierville, Tennessee. Gary married Jean Marie Ottinger in 1990 and has two children, Christopher Matthew and Kathleen Marie.
Interment will be on Saturday, November 3 at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, California.
