About Polyvios Georghiou
Born in Famagusta. Merchant. Younger brother of Loukas. Studied foreign language in Beirut. He accepted a government post, which he later turned down preferring to work in his brother's business, becoming a partner early-on. He was responsible for the entire trade of cotton for the District of Famagusta. He owned several ships. Owner of the ship "Thira" which could trade all the way to India. It sunk in the waters off Albania during WWI. Board member of the hospital of Famagusta. Donot to schools with his brother.
