About Priscilla Keyes

Biography

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pore-17

Prisilla Pore, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Farnum) Pore, was born 22 June 1667 in Andover, Massachusetts[1][2]

Abraham Moore and Prissilla Poor of Andover, Massachusetts married 14 Dec 1687 in Andover.[3] [2]

Priscilla received Meadow land on the west side of the Shawsin, from her father's estate.[2]

After the death of Abraham in 1706, Priscilla More, widow, and Solomon Reies of Chelmsford, announced their intention to marry on Mar. 12, 1708-9.[3]

Therefore a death date of 29 Feb 1708 is impossible. There is no further record for Priscilla, and a death record for Priscilla Reies was not recorded, although "Reies" probably has alternate spellings.

A merged in profile has suggested that Priscilla's second husband was Solomon Keyes. Following are good reasons to believe this to be true. Further confirmation would be helpful.

  • There are no other records for the surname Reies in Massachusetts, so we know it's an odd spelling.
  • There are no records in Chelmsford or Andover for a Solomon (sounds like) Reese or (sounds like) Rice.
  • A son Zebadiah was born to Solomon Keyes and his wife Persilla on 11 Jan 1710[4]
  • Keyes is spelled Keies in the birth record for Solomon's daughter Ruth in 1671.[5]

A look at the original might solve this, but all that's online at the moment are indexes and derived printed records.

Priscilla died after 1709. Chelmsford VR has a birth record "(KEYES (Keies, Key, Keys, Kyes)) Zebediah, s. Solomon and Persila, Jan. 11, 1710." So we know she died after then.
