Priscilla Taylor

Priscilla Smith married George Taylor when she was 37 years old, on October 25, 1906, which was 3 years after George's first wife of 21 years, Annie Kristine Smoot (Senator Reed Smooth's sister) had passed away. George and Annie had 6 children together, 5 of whom survived infancy. Unfortunately, after Priscilla and George had their only child, a daughter, Priscilla Smith Taylor, born September 19, 1907, Priscilla passed away two months later on November 3, 1907. The child she bore was healthy and lived until 1983, and married Wayne P. Malin, who was born May 14, 1910, and died May 4, 1978. A year after Priscilla passed away, George married Amy Esther Smith, but she too passed away after giving birth and her baby did not survive.

On June 28, 1911, George married Ida Ann Alleman with whom he shared the remainder of his life. Evidently Ida Ann raised George's other children. George passed away on January 16, 1924, at which time Priscilla and George's daughter would have been 17 years old. I wonder what happened to her between the time her father died when she was 17 until she married Wayne P. Malin on June 9, 1934, at which time she would have been almost 27 years old!
