She is often said to the daughter of Richard Byfield and Sarah Juxon. This has been shown to be incorrect. Priscilla's last name at birth, parents, and exact origins are unknown.
Rev. Richard Byfield the younger had a total of 21 children. Of these none of their births are known, and many of their names are not known. Among his children he is known to have had a daughter Priscilla. He also had a daughter married to an unknown Wright as he named grandchildren John and Sarah Wright. The wife of John Wright of Woburn was named Priscilla. Therefore a guess was made that the wife of John Wright of Woburn, was the same as Priscilla, daughter of Rev. Richard Byfield. However, an article in The American Genealogist points out the problems with this guess. The two Priscillas were of an entirely different generation. Furthermore, Priscilla the daughter of Richard Byfield can be shown to have married someone else.

Priscilla Byfield, daughter of Reverend Richard Byfield and Sister of Nathaniel Byfield of Boston, MA. and Bristol, R.I. married Isaac Waldron on 25 February 1674.
In the will of Sarah (Juxon) Byfield her daughter Priscilla Waldron is mentioned.
In November 1687, following the death of Isaac Waldron, Priscilla (Byfield) Waldron marries Ebenezer Brenton in Bristol, Rhode Island.
