About Pte. Hughie Ngarino Tūtahi

Hughie Ngarino Tutahi was the son of Tomika Ngarino Tūtahi (1863-1959) and Ema Wharerau Brown Tūtahi (nee Paki) (c. 1869-1945) of Tauranga. He served with the 28th Māori Battalion, C Company during World War II (Service No. WWII 39731). Hughie was killed on active service.

TUTAKI.—Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tutahi and family wish to sincerely thank friends, both Maori and pakeha, also relations, for their kind expressions of sympathy in their recent sad bereavement; also for letters, cards and floral emblems received.
