Profiles

Several names of those killed during World War II are missing from Tauranga’s war memorials. This page is an attempt to list those Tauranga people who served and lost their lives during the Second World War. The project started in 2014 and is a collaboration between Fiona Kean and Debbie McCauley. To meet the criteria, people need to have lived in Tauranga, enlisted from Tauranga, or already be listed on a local memorial.
