An 1880 census says he was a hotel keeper.

Henry Myers was born March 20, 1817 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob and Mary (Toot) Myers. He married Lydia (Epley) Myers in 1837. They had 12 children together which include:

Picture of the hotel is the one Henry Myers bought in Lewis, Cass County, Iowa...called the Pennsylvania House.

He bought this after the Gettysburg Battle due to his farm being destroyed by the troops. So they moved west to Iowa in 1867.

Man standing in front of the screen door is Henry & wife to the right "Lizzie".

Henry Myers born in Adams Co. Pa to Jacob and Mary Toot Myers. Henry married Lydia Epley from York Co. and had 13 children; after she died he married Barbara Elizebeth Epley (Lydia's sister) and had 7 more children. His land was destroyed in the battle of Gettysburg, which he sold what he could and moved to Iowa. Henry had a sister named Barbara Ann who married Daniel Sheets, and a sister named Sarah J who married D. Weikert.
