A Patriot of the American Revolution for PENNSYLVANIA with the rank of PRIVATE. DAR Ancestor # A130581

Adam Zehner fled Germany in 1746 an age 20 to avoid apprehension and death penalty for poaching deer. As a stowaway on a ship to America he was indentured to a Mr. Mertz. He worked off his 3 yr. indenture and Married Mr. Mertz's daughter. They had 15 children.
Although there are currently two wives attached tom him, he had only one wife - Maria. More research is needed to determine which one was his wife.

Adam served 7 Yrs. in the Revolutionary War and received 150 acres of land for his service
