Pvt Peiter Petrus Kuykendall

Peter Kuykendall (baptized 1719, NY - d. NC) moved south in NC with wife Mary (possibly surname Hampton).  Was listed on Samuel Cobrin's 1748 Spanish Alarm roster.  Early affiliation in Augusta Co, VA, with Hamptons and Coburns. Was in the Journal of the House of Burgess of Virginia in 1743.  Researchers have tried to identify his wife Mary as a Hampton or a Harden but the will of Benjamin and Sarah Harden probated in the counties of Surry and Isle of Wight, VA, do not mention a daughter Mary or otherwise married to a Kuykendall.  Some researchers claim this Peter as the Peter Kuykendall of the 1783 Washington Co, NC/TN will.  Children have not been identified.  His age positively identifies him in NC.
