Robert Sessions was born in Pomfret, Connecticut March 15th, 1752 and aside from his participation in the Boston Tea Party, he served in the Revolutionary Army and attained the rank of lieutenant. For many years after the war, he served as justice of the peace, town clerk and treasure for 12 years, and was the moderator of most town meetings. His account of the Tea Party was widely publicized, unfortunately, this manuscript is lost to history. He later died in Hampden, Massachusetts in 1836. [1]
