About Pvt. Thomas Francis Shaughnessy
PVT US Marine Corps, WWI
“MADISON-Thomas F.Shaughnessy, of 2206 Eton Ridge, died on Monday, January 13, 1975, at Veteran’s Hospital in Tomah. Born in Madison, he was a Veteran of WWI Marine Corps. Mr. Shaughnessy was a member of the American Legion Post 161 and was a past Commander. He was also a member of the 40 and 8 Local 937 Post 161. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Hazel Meyer; two brothers, John H. and Rodney, all of Madison. He was preceded in death by his wife Bertha in 1971. Funeral services will be held at Saint Raphael’s Cathedral, 222 West Main Street at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Joyce Funeral Home, 540 West Washington Avenue, where the Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m.”
