About Pvt. (USA) John Romberger
John Romberger, aged 85, for years a resident of Elizabethville, and the oldest Civil War Veteran in that borough, died shortly after noon yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella S. Lantz, 2221 Jefferson street. Three sons, William, of Navarre, Ohio; George E. of Elizabethville, and Charles Romberger of Tower City; two daughter, Mrs. Anna Harper, of Middletown, and Mrs. Ella Lantz, of this city, twenty-one grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, Survive.
The body was taken to the home of his son, George E. Romberger, at Elizabethville, where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Straws Church cemetery.
