About R' Aharon HaKohen Jampoller
In a Yichus paper drafted by Rabbi Dr J Simcha Cohen, based in on the work of his grandfather, R' Samuel Burstyn, A.B.D. Shatowa (from 1887), as well as his own research, R' Simcha Cohen describes his descent from R' Aharon HaKohen Jampoller. In the notes about this ancestor is written: "R' Aharon was considered a kohan M'Yuchas, direct descendant from Rabba and the father-in-law of R. Levi Yitzchok, Berdichiver, author of 'K'dushat Levi' "
The Rabba referred to here is Rabbah b. Nahmani, https://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/12485-rabbah-b-nahmani, a Kohain who lived circa 270- circa 330 CE and was Rosh Pumbedita for the last 23 years of his life, according to the Jewish Encyclopedia. Since Rabbah b. Nahmani is considered to be a descendant of Eli (upon consultation with genealogist R' Shraga Kahana), therefore this R' Aharon HaKohen of Jampoller is theoretically a descendant of the Ithamar-Eli line from Aharon rather than the Eleazar line from Aharon.
