The descendants of his father, R' Jacob Singer, are mentioned in the records of the town of Teschen [Cieszyn]; specifically, those records indicate that brothers Hirschel and Joseph from Nikolsburg (Mikůlov) and Lazar from Strassnitz (Straznice) appeared before the magistrate in Cieszyn on 22.04.1661 and declared that they had been paid off by their eldest brother, Samuel Singer.
