A copy of Louis Lewin's (1868-1941) hand-written transcription of Rabbi Akiba Kalischer's tombstone is in the Mendel Gottesmann Library, Yeshiva University, NY, NY (see left column of attached profile photo). The third line indicates that Akiba was the son of the "clever Rabbi Leib." The partial inscription in the right hand column pertains to the daughter of Selig Kalischer.
