About Rabbi Enoch Henry Hochberg
Rabbi Enoch H. Hochberg 83, a retired clergyman, died yesterday at his home 819 2nd St. Miami Beach. A resident of the Beach for 12 years, he came from Grand Rapids Michigan where he had been head of a congregation. He was a member of Beth Jacob congregation, Miami Beach. Surviving are his wife Clara; five daughters, Mrs Lee Gordon and Mrs Gertrude Rieger of Miami Beach, Mrs Edith Berman, Mrs Marie Subav and Mrs Florence Gross and three sons, William S. Morton B and Maurice I. Services were to be at 2 pm today at the residence with burial in Mt Sinai cemetery under the direction of Beach Memorial funeral home. (Miami News, August 25, 1950)

Previously they lived in Russia. An immigration document give the exact date of September 19, 1919 as their arrival date, through the Sarnia, Ontario border crossing
According to the 1910 US census Henry Hochberg and his wife Clara lived in Cincinnati, Ohio with their children William, Ida, Lena, Gertrude, Mary, Morris, and Max. The record indicates that they had 14 children, 11 of who are living at this time. They had been married for 21 years by this time. Henry is listed as having immigrated in 1906 from Russia, with the remainder of the family coming over in 1908.
July 4, 1907 passenger list for the S.S. Brandenburg sailing from Bremen, Germany to Baltimore, Maryland lists Chassie Hochberg and her brother-in-law Leileisch Hochberg travelling with her children Wolf (age 16), Jydys (age 9), Lejke (age 9), Gittel (age 7), Marjem (age 5) and Moses (age 10 months). Chassie leaves behind her father-in-law Pinkas and Leileisch left his wife Selde Hochberg. They are heading to her husband/his brother Henoch Hochberg, residing at 637 Richmond, Cincinnati, Ohio.
