Biography

Rachel Rice was born at Dedham, Massachusetts, 2 Sep 1664, the daughter of John Rice and Ann Hackley, [1] [2] her parents' marriage recorded at Dedham, the "27 of 9 mo" (27 Nov) 1649. [3]

She married (1) c. 1680, Jedediah Everett, b. 1656, d. Dedham, MA 1699, [4] the son of Richard and Mary Everett. Following Jedediah's death, she married (2) 18 May 1699,, Joseph Dolliver, [5] also a widower, whose first wife has not been identified. Rachel lived with her second husband in Greenwich (later East Greenwich), Rhode Island, following their marriage. She was living in 1731 as the executrix of her husband's will, and thought to have lived a few years thereafter. [6]

Note: No death or burial record has been found for Rachel, but she is likely buried in East Greenwich, Rhode Island with her second husband. Her death year is an approximation; she was living in 1731 when she was the executrix of her husband's will. [6]
