She was the wife of 1. Lewis Haymond, married 7 Jun 1839 in Harrison County, and 2. William D. Wilson. Daughter of Revolutionary War Patriot Benjamin Wilson of Virginia, and Phoebe Davisson.
Obituary- The Weston Democrat, Fri. 3 Aug. 1906:
"MRS. RACHAEL WILSON died at her home at Quiet Dell Tuesday. Last living child of the late Col. Benjamin Wilson, she being the 29th child.
Her father served in the Revolutionary War and was Harrison county's first county clerk. She was born on Simpson Creek July 20, 1820, and celebrated her 86th birth the 20th of last month.
She was twice married. First, Lewis Haymond, had four children, Capt. Rufus Haymond of Bristol; Mrs. Creed Collins of Pennsboro; Mrs. Julia Collins of Quiet Dell, and Thomas Haymond, deceased.
After the death of her first husband, she married Dr. William Wilson of Maryland. They had four children, Mrs. Emma Hansford, Wirt Wilson of Quiet Dell, Benjamin and Miss Emma, both deceased."
Note: Interesting that her obituary says she died at Quiet Dell. She was a member of an Indiana chapter, and those DAR records say that she died at Monmouth, Illinois. No death record found in Illinois or West Virginia.
