About Rachel Richardson

Rachel Yarrington, the second youngest child of Peter Yarrington and Abiah Woodward, was bapt. Aug. 10, 1707 at Preston, Conn. Her parents had been residing at Beverly in Essex County, Mass. where the seven oldest children of the family were baptized. The seventh child, Rachel's next oldest brother Ezekiel, was baptized at Beverly, Mass. on Mar. 25, 1705.

In circa 1724, probably at Preston, Conn., Rachel m. Amos Richardson, the younger s. of Jonathan Richardson, Sr. and Ann Edwards, b. Dec. 1, 1699 at Stonington, Conn. He was bapt. June 23, 1700 at the Hartford, Conn. 1st Chh., his maternal grandfather's church. Amos d. testate at Coventry, Conn. betw. Sept. 18, 1775, the date of his will, and Nov. 25, 1779 when the inventory of his estate was taken. Rachel is not mentioned in her husband's will and obviously died before her husband. They had fourteen children who will be outlined in their father's memorial.

By 1906 no gravestones for Rachel or husband Amos were known to exist.
