The line that led to Peter Mallory of New Haven had probably been in existence for some generations. A descendant of George Mallorie, (born before 1619, East Yorkshire, England), tested close enough to be in the same family group but not directly related (that is, George and Peter were probably not brothers, and may not even have been close cousins). It would help to know more about George.
It would help to know more about the Bermuda Mallorys, too, but no haplotype results have been reported.
