Ralph Collingwood Watrous (born July 19, 1866 , † November 1, 1939 ) was an American politician. Between 1908 and 1909 he was Lieutenant Governor of the state of Rhode Island.
Career
Nothing is known about the youth and education of Ralph Watrous. Also about his career beyond politics, there is no information in the sources. He lived at least temporarily in Warwick and was a member of the Republican Party. In 1907, he was elected by a very close margin on the side of James H. Higgins to be Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island. This post he held from 1908 to 1909. He was Lt. Governor and Chairman of the State Senate, After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he did not appear politically. He died on November 1, 1939. Watrous was married since 1892 to Susan A. Aldrich (1870-1947).
