Ralph A. "Dick" Dickershaid, III was a graduate of St. Columba High School. He had been a roofing contractor working for many years with R.A. Dickershaid and Sons Roofing Co., later owning R.A. Dickershaid, III Roofing Co. For many years he had also coowned "Mr. D's" Place on Rt. 7 in Duanesburg. He had been active with the Ft. Hunter Volunteer Fire Co. in Guilderland, a member of the Rotterdam Elks, a former member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid golfer.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 46 years Elizabeth "Betty" Budka Dickershaid; five children; 12 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; his brother James W. Dickershaid of Schenectady, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Kearney .
