Biography

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Jackson-3543

On 10 Feb 1680 in a deposition in Henrico Co Ralph Jackson stated his age as 30 which means Ralph Jackson was born after 1645. There are many reasons people falsify their ages. In this case research will bear out that Capt Eppes brought the Jacksons from Scotland when Ralph was 2 years old and his older brother William was 11.

Immigration

There is some indication Patrick came to the colonies where Ralph had married Leah Williams and settled in Charles City County, Virginia. Ralph Jackson arrived in Virginia in 1652. Ralph is listed as the PRIMARY IMMIGRANT which 1) Ralph was born in Scotland and 2) if Patrik came to the colonies, he may have come separately.

Family and Property

1678 Ralph married Leah Williams, daughter of William Williams 1678 in Henrico Co.[1]

August 1690, Jenny an Indian girl belonging to Ralph Jackson is adjudged to be 6 years old. [2]

Together Ralph and Leah had the following children:

  • 1) Elizabeth (Jackson) Perkinson b. Bef. 1699, Virginia, d. Aft. 1737.
  • 2) Williams Taylor Jackson Sr.
  • 3) John Jackson
  • 4) Ralph Jackson, Jr.
  • 5) Daniel Jackson
  • 6) Joseph Jackson

Ralph transitioned his family to Charles City in Henrico County [3]
