- In Name of God Amen the 10th October 1749 I RAWLEIGH TRAVERS being sick but of sound mind do make this my last will & Testament Imprimis I give to Mr. PETER DANIEL four Negroes & to the children of his present Wife SARAH,
- Item I give my Negroe fellow Joe to my Sister ELIZABETH COOKE her life after to her son TRAVERSE COOKE
- I give to my Sister SARAH DANIEL a negro girl called Sarah and her Increase to her three children Vizt. HANNAH, TRAVERS & ELIZABETH DANIEL.
- Item I bequeath to HANNAH COOK negro to TRAVERS COOKE all my negroes not yet mentioned. All my personal estate in corn, tobacco money & cattle to be divided in three parts one of which I will leave to my Sister Elizabeth Cooke the other two parts to my Nephew & heir Traverse Cooke all my debts being duly paid. Item I give to my neice Hannah Cook one of the best beds & furniture in my house together with four cows & calves.
