About Raymond Percival Anderson Cover, Sr
Ray was affectionately called Petey or Harry. He was a truly gentle soul and also very physically strong. He played beautiful piano by ear alone. In Jamaica he worked on the water channels via horseback, worked in the pimento and cane fields with his brothers. He came to NY, date unknown, and lived in Hell's Kitchen on the lower east side where he worked as a mechanic for his brother Arnold. He was Dutch Schultz's boxing sparring partner. The family relocated to Stamford, CT when his children were young.
