Raynar-Lee Soljar Thompson-Hatley

Raynar-Lee was four months old when he was flown to Starship children's hospital on April 13, 2013. He died on April 19, with a provisional autopsy indicating he died from head injuries. Police began an investigation into the circumstances around his death the week he was injured, at mother Shiloe Thompson's home. Raynar-Lee was born prematurely, at 24 weeks, at Wellington Hospital and had been back in Wairoa for three weeks. He was still having oxygen administered through a tube to his nose.
