About Reana Frost
William Andrew, mariner of Cambridge, 2nd married the widow Reana James of Watertown. Their marriage contract was dated 11 Aug. 1640.
Reana had married first to Edmund James before 1640, second to William Andrews (- 1652) c 11 August 1640, and third to Robert Daniel (-1655) 2 May 1654, and then married fourth (after 1669) to "Elder" Edmund Frost (d 1672).
The inventory of the widow Reana Frost's estate was taken January 3, 1675.
Biography
Some online family trees, without source, claim she was the daughter of Giles James and Agnes Gayyard. This is not recognized in Anderson's Great Migration work.
Her maiden name and identity of her parents are not known. There is no documentation that she was the daughter of Giles James and Agnes Gayyard.
The date of her marriage to her first husband, Edmund James, is unknown. She contracted to marry William Andrews in 1640; she m3 Robert Daniel, then last by 1669 to Edmund Frost as his third wife.[1]
She died before 3 November 1675 when an inventory of her state was made. The Middlesex County Probate Files for Reana Frost contain a note stating that an inventory record was in p. 292 Vol 4, dated 1676 - 4 -2[2] It is unclear weather this indicated June 2 or April 4, or if this is the date of the record or the inventory itself.
There is no evidence, per Robert Charles Anderson,[3] that she had any children by any of her husbands.

Elder Frost appeared in Cambridge as early as 1635. The historian of that town, among many other things, says that he possessed "little besides his homestead, and his pressing wants were relieved by the Church." His descendants in Cambridge have been numerous. His will, dated April 16. 1672, named his wife Reana: sons Ephraim, Thomas, John and Joseph: and daughters Sarah and Mary; he also left legacies to Jacob French and his wife; to the children of Golden Moore, to Harvard College and to Mr. Alcock's son there. The inventory of his widow Reana was taken January 3, 1675.
