Rebbecca is the fourth and final child of Tim Barnes and Linda Calderone. She is the only child in her family (immediate and distant) that was born with any disabilities/syndromes.

While her mother was pregnant, she (Linda) was prescribed the Morning Sickness Pill called *Benedictine. This drug was on the market in the early 80's under the name *Diclectin. It had been removed from the market because it didn't allow children to fully develop in the womb.

Rebbecca was born with '**First and Second Bronchial Arch Syndrome' so she had some of her left jaw missing, her left ear, left ear drum and left ear canal were not developed. Underwent lifetime of surgery, mostly done at Sick Kids Hospital. Doctors built a non-functioning (left) ear by moving a rib bone into my head and grafting some skin (from pelvic area). Jaw bone took multiple surgeries to 'naturally' stretch the bone by 6 cm and realign chin.
