Biography

Rebecca Atkinson, daughter of Thomas, was likely born in Massachusetts about 1638. The births of her two sisters, Susannah and Hannah are recorded at Concord, Massachusetts in 1641 and 1643. [1]

She married John Heywood at Concord on August 17, 1656. [1]

[2] 1659: Oct. 4: John Heywood, husband of Rebecca - daughter of Thomas Adkinson, deceased, and Susannah and Hannah Adkinson, granted administration William Alline dec'd, who married their mother. [2] [3] Rebecca died at Concord on August 5, 1665, shortly after the birth of her son Benoni. [1]

After her death, John Heywood married for his second wife, Sarah Simonds, on November 30, 1665.

John Heywood Sr. died intestate at Concord, Massachusetts on January 17, 1700/1.
