About Rebecca Balch

Note: The Fairfield Family database states that William Fairfield married twice - (1) Rebeckah Stone, (2) Abigail Converse. The second wife is noted in the biography but not in the profile.

Reverend William Balch was born 30 September 1704 in Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts, the son of Freeborn Balch and Elizabeth Fairfield.[1] He graduated from Harvard in 1724, and was first pastor at the Second Church (East Bradford) for sixty-five years. [2] William married Rebecca/Rebekah Stone on 12 March 1727/28 in Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts. [3] After Rebecca died, he married secondly, Abigail Blodgett. He was recorded on the 1790 census for Bradford, MA.[4]

He died 12 January 1791/92.[5][6]
