Rebecca Abercrombie (1739-1825) is said to have been born on 4 February 1739 and to have been a sister of James Abercrombie and a daughter of James Abercrombie. She married Hastings Dial (1732-1809) about 1768. They lived in Laurens County, South Carolina and had eight children: James, Isaac Malcolm, Rebecca, Mary, Hastings, Jr., Isabella, Henry Arthur, and Jane. Rebecca is said to have died on 1 June 1825. Her will was proved at Laurens County, South Carolina 18 July 1825.
