Rebecca Elizabeth (Powell, adopted Hornbuckle) Page was born in March 1700 in Isle of Wight, Virginia. Her parents were John Powell, Sr., Old Cheraw Holden's Beach and Miriam Powell. Rebecca married Thomas Page, Tithable Weopemioick Yawpim of "Cumberland Indian" from Curratuck. Together they had the following children: Capt. Thomas D. Page, Tithable Weopemeoc/Yeopim, Indenture of Lawrence which we know from atDna to distant Powell cousins who were in service at the same place at the same time at Holden's Beach. Ann Williams, Yeopim. We know this part from atDna for Williams cousins. She died circa 1770 in Johnson CO. There is a contingient of cousins who call this person profiled, Rebecca Hornbuckle, who maintain her descent was Hornbuckle adp[tee, Bird clan / Cherokee mother, per affidavits from 3 dozen people in Haywood county NC that her descendants collected in 1851--she died before then--and sent to David Siler in WA DC.
