John Fenno was granted twenty acres of land in Unquity now Milton Mass in 1660. [1]

In 1694 he five hundred acres of land in Canton, then a part of Dorchester. [1] He was a soldier from that town in King Philip's War. [1]

He married Rebecca Tucker by 1662, when there first child was born. [2] Rebecca was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (? possibly Allen/Alin) Tucker of Weymouth, MA. [3]

His wife Rebecca died at Milton, MA on July 12, 1690. [4]

He died at Milton, MA on April 7, 1708, aged 79 years. [4] The mention in his will of lands that he owned in Lancashire, England is evidence that he was a former resident of that county but he may be of French origin. [1]

The will of John Fenno of Milton, dated Aug., 1702, probated May 1, 1708, names sons John of Milton, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Joseph who went to 14 Canada in an expedition. The following receipt was for some reason not recorded until July 24 1728: Received of my Hon. father John Fenno, the full & Inst Sum of Fifty pounds currant money in New England, or Bonds, with which I may Recover it by as my Portion; this Eleventh day of May one thousand Seven hundred & four. I say Received by me Epraim Fenno, Elizabeth Fenno. [5]

John was mentioned on a memorial with a death date of 7 April 1708.[6]In
