Mosher-192
Rebecca Mosher, daughter of Hugh Mosher and Rebecca Maxson, was born about 1677, at probably Portsmouth, or Newport, Rhode Island. Her father "of Newport" had purchased land at Westerly, Rhode Island in 1660 and was in Portsmouth, Rhode Island by 1668.[1] Hugh Mosher's property was on the line, laying partly in Portsmouth and partly in Newport.[2] Hugh Mosher didn't move to Dartmouth, Massachusetts until 1690.[1]
Rebecca married John Kirby before 28 May 1713. John was born in Mar 1672 and died in 1727. Rebecca died after 28 Apr 1746. Rebecca and John had at least 10 children.[1]
Rebecca's father, Hugh Mosher, made a deed dated 28 May 1713, to his daughter Rebecca, wife of John Kirby of Dartmouth, giving the latter land "joining that of my daughter Hannah Cornell."[3]
