Mrs Rebecca Sarah Besant passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Arthur Riley, Mayne street, Gulgong, at the age of 72 years.
She was the widow of the late Mr William Besant, who died on September 29, 1921, and was a native of Windsor.
She came to the Mudgee district in 1873.
