Witnesses: John Valles of Cragy, John Kennade of Culyane, David Blair of Adamtone, Malcolm Craufurde of Grenoc, David Bercla of Ladelande, Quentin Quhitfurde, son of John Quhitfurde of that ilk. Sir Malcolm Crawford of Eastern Greenock, who received lands from his Mother (a Galbraith) and who descended from Crawford of Loudon, Married Marjory, only daughter/heiress of John Barclay (d. 1470) of Killbirnine, the last Male of this "potent" family, who anciently possessed Killbirnine. The aforementioned Sir John Barclay of Crawford-John was a lineal descendant of Sir John Crawford of Crawford-John when his daughter Margaret married Sir Walter Barclay. Arms were quartered with the arms of Barclay and Kilbirnie (1499 charter By James IV for lands of Kilbirnie and half of the Barony of Crawford-John).
